KARACHI: On late Tuesday night, a senior member of MQM Pakistan Bahadurabad’s group, Amir Khan said that he was unmindful of both the rival PIB group chief Dr. Farooq Sattar’s decision to hold a rally and the latter’s invitation to join the opposing faction.
Earlier, Sattar, the leader of MQM-P’s PIB faction, had extended an invitation to Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the leader of the party’s Bahadurabad group, to hold a joint press conference as well as a rally.
While speaking to party members and the media, the MQM-P PIB head had claimed that he would like Bahadurabad group’s chief to conduct a press conference together with him and wanted to schedule a rally together in Liaquatabad.
Sattar’s spokesperson also added, “The Muhajir community does not want the [party] to break up”.
He further stated, “The martyrs’ families and intellectuals have advised the two groups to work together”.
Sattar had also hinted that the MQM-P’s two rival groups would hold a press conference at Tunki ground tomorrow (Wednesday).
