ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday released the schedule for by-election on the National Assembly seat that fell vacant after the disqualification of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif by Supreme Court in the Panamagate case.
As per schedule issued by the ECP, election in NA-120 (Lahore) will be held on September 17. The candidates will be able to submit their nomination papers between August 10-12. The ECP will review the nomination papers between August 15-17, while the final list of candidates will be displayed on August 26.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to field Yasmin Rashid to face Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in the by-election.
