KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Karachi, has decided to launch a protest against K-Electric and National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) for making the lives of Karachiites miserable.
This was stated by the JI Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem Rehman while addressing a big ‘Public Jirga’ organised by the Jamaat Islami Public Aid Committee here on Sunday.
Hafiz Naeem warned the institutions of agitation and said that the offices of NADRA and K-Electric would be condoned-off, if they failed to deliver.
Instead of providing relief and facilitation to the general public, K-Electric and NADRA were adding fuel to already burning issues of the Karachiites.
The JI would continue to pursue the matter all forums, he added.
He demanded of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar to apprehend terrorists, instead of targeting particularly ethnic groups and blocking their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC).
He also announced the opening of four more offices of Jamaat Islami’s PAC in Gujro Goth area. People must submit their issues at the offices of the JI’s PAC and join the struggle of JI for resolution of their own problems, he urged.
The entire Ummah was facing extreme hardships only because of lack of unity, he pointed.
He appealed to the Karachiites to get united and set aside their pity differences.
