LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the abnormal increase in the prices of eatables and instructed the related authorities to submit a report regarding the matter.
While chairing a high level meeting of the provincial cabinet on Monday, the CM directed food price control officials to unearth the reasons behind the unusual and abrupt price hike and bring the prices of the produce back to normal.
It is pertinent to mention that the provincial government was criticised by the opposition earlier for the sudden price hike on items like chicken and vegetables.
