Local police arrested a terrorist involved in the Safoora Goth bus carnage on Tuesday from the jurisdiction of Nai Gaaj police station.
The police arrested the terrorist when he was entering into Sindh after crossing the mountains of Balochistan and recovered a suicide jacket and hand grenade from his possession.
Talking to the Daily Times, the Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Dadu Tanvir Ahmed Tunio said that the terrorist, identified as Naveed Ahmed son of Akhtar, was arrested after he crossed the Kirthar Mountains and was trying to enter into the jurisdiction of Sindh. He further said that the terrorist was involved in Safoora Goth bus firing incident. The SSP said that the terrorist got successful in escaping to Afghanistan after the incident.
The SSP told the media that the police had registered an FIR at the Nai Gaaj police station against the terrorist. He said that the police had got seven days physical remand of the terrorist from the Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Naushehro Feroze and started further investigations into the matter.
