KASUR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government plans to complete its present term.
The prime minister was addressing a public gathering in Kasur and said that his party will also form the next five years’ government. “The country rejected them in the general elections of 2013 and now they are taking their revenge from the country,” PM Nawaz said – in a thin-veiled reference to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
“But the country will reject them again in the 2018 elections,” Nawaz maintained. He said that the oppositions took two months to hold a public gathering similar to that of the PML-N’s.
“The opposition has never been to jail but we have done time and we do not scare easily,” he informed and vowed to not only end the electricity shortage – once again – but to also make it cheaper and added that when he makes a promise, he fulfils it.
He stated that Pakistan’s efforts to eradicate extremism and terrorism received global appreciation as the country is becoming more peaceful, day-by-day.
The prime minister announced that Rs 50 million has been invested into Phol Nagar’s gas projects and Rs 100 million is to be invested in different development projects.
Nawaz Sharif referred to the PTI by saying that the opposition wants to end Pakistan’s road to success – however, its own political career will come to an end.
