Professor John Wright of Bradford University and Professor Dr. Atif ur Rehman of Liverpool University, UK called on Federal Minister for National Health Services Aamer Mehmood Kiani here today.
The delegation shared with Minister that Bradford University in collaboration with Pakistan’s Health Ministry is undertaking birth Cohort study in Pakistan. This study will cover nutrition, mental health, non-communicable diseases with aim to ascertain challenges in control of these diseases.
Talking to delegation Minister said that in accordance with vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan health is being accorded top priority. Minister appreciated the delegation for undertaking the study which is the first of its kind initiative such a large scale. He said such research was being increasingly used world over for informing policy.
